The Copeland ZS45K4E-TF5-965 Scroll compressor range, is suitable for HVAC use with a cooling capacity of 45,000 BTU. Powered by a 200-230V three-phase electrical power source, this compressor uses a non-standard design in which two intermeshing rotors, one of which is stationary while the other revolves, compresses refrigerant. As the scroll moves, it forms pockets of gas that suck in refrigerant and compress it as the pockets move inwards and this is works continuously without the need for suction valves.
