HVAC Time Delay Relay
Time Delay Relay controls the compressor motor of an air conditioner. It is designed to delay the startup of the compressor motor for a set amount of time after the thermostat calls for cooling.
The main use of an AC compressor time delay relay is to protect the compressor motor from damage caused by frequent short cycling. A time delay relay prevents this by waiting a set amount of time before allowing the compressor to turn on again after it has been turned off.
