The Xylem-Hoffman Specialty 401629 FT015H is a 2-inch, 15 psi float and thermostatic steam trap designed for use in low, medium, and high-pressure steam systems. For longevity and resistance to corrosion, it has an internal structure made of stainless steel and a cast iron body. This trap removes condensate from steam lines without allowing steam to escape by utilizing a bimetallic thermostat in conjunction with a float mechanism.As the condensate gathers within the trap, the upward movement of the float obstructs the steam inlet while simultaneously triggering the opening of the discharge valve.Air and non-condensable gases are further assisted in being expelled from the system by the bimetallic thermostat.Heat exchange equipment including boilers, radiators, and heat exchangers frequently use this kind of trap. enhances system efficiency and helps to remove condensate effectively.
