The Trane VAL9596 is a high-performance thermal expansion valve TXV intended for use with R410A refrigerant in 6-ton air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This TXV is essential in controlling the flow rate of the liquid refrigerant into the evaporator to enhance efficiency within the system. It works based on the principles of either set point control that uses a thermostat-like part to set the temperature and pressure points inside the evaporator or dynamic control that follows the changes of temperature and pressure inside the evaporator to vary the flow of the refrigerant.
