Carrier EA36YD115 Thermal Expansion Valve

The Carrier EA36YD115 is a Thermal Expansion Valve used in refrigerant HVAC system circuits. As the cooling effectiveness is concerned, it regulates the amount of refrigerant allowed to go into the evaporator coil ensuring that it does not flood the coil. This is because, as the temperature of the leaving refrigerant increases, the spring of the valve opens to allow more refrigerant to pass through. If the temperature decreases, the spring contracts resulting in reduced refrigerant flow. This auto control enables the use of the refrigerant and at the same time safeguards the evaporator coil from being damaged by excess feeding.
