Trane SWT3587 Pressure Switch

The Trane SWT3587 is a safety device known an air pressure switch that is 4.6" long. This air pressure regulating function is a critical component that works in HVAC systems. The pressure rating of the SWT3587 is 1.04" water column. The switch immediately terminates the electrical connection by opening its contacts when the air pressure in the ductwork reaches the specified limit of 1.04" water column. These can result in, for instance, the blower or compressor shutting down the furnace blower or compressor, to prevent them from being harmed in cases of abnormal pressure conditions.
