The Aaon P21450 Firestat Manual Reset Switch is safety equipment that is used to prevent the equipment of the HVAC systems from being damaged by fire. It works in the following way it shuts off the power supply to the unit in response to a fire alarm signal. This stops the HVAC systems from inadvertently pouring smoke and heat throughout the building and, possibly, escalating a fire threat and risking the lives of the occupants. It is usually placed in the electrical control panel of an HVAC system and needs to be reset by hand after a fire alarm sounds.
