The Johnson Controls T-3610-1001 Duct Stat is a high-quality averaging duct temperature sensor. This sensor has an element of 8 feet in length that is filled with a liquid to measure the temperature at epoint of the element. This is particularly helpful where the temperature of air inside a duct differs within a given duct cross-section. This is designed for use with pneumatic HVAC systems. When air blows through the duct, the liquid-filled part soaks heat and creates pressure inside a closed compartment. This pressure rise is then transmitted to a pneumatic controller who interprets the signal and regulates heating and cooling equipment so that the mean temperature of the duct is at the right level.
