Johnson Controls TE-6351P-1 Duct Probe Temperature Sensor 8"

The Johnson Controls TE-6351P-1 Duct Probe Temperature Sensor is designed to measure air temperature in the HVAC duct works. This sensor has an 8"-probe constructed from stainless steel to ensure the probe remains strong and is resistant to corrosion. The probe has a sensor element, which may be a thermistor or an RTD in this case depending on the model. During airflow, the temperature changes in the sensor element are measured. In response, the element’s electrical resistance alters; often, resistance with temperature and resistance without temperature. This change in resistance generates a signal that is sent to a building’s Heating and Air Conditioning control system. This signal is received by the control system and in turn switches heating or cooling equipment to approximately assist in achieving the required temperature in the structure.
