The Regal Rexnord - Fasco D218 is a single-phase permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor intended for use in air handlers, furnaces, blowers, and other HVAC applications. It can accommodate a range of needs with numerous horsepower options (1/10 to 1/35 HP) and operates on 115/230 volts.This motor rotates its internal magnetic field with the use of a capacitor.This field then causes the rotor windings to conduct electricity. The torque produced by the interplay of the rotor windings and stator current causes the motor shaft to rotate.Reduced energy consumption is facilitated by the PSC design.Silent operation is provided by the PSC design in contrast to conventional induction motorsThe motor is easy to integrate into a variety of HVAC systems due to the small dimensions.
