The Trane BRG1940 Pillow Block Bearings are heavy duty units used to support rotating shafts and minimize friction in a number of industrial and commercial processes. They consist of a bearing element usually a ball or roller bearing, often housed within a heavy duty metal cage. This block secures the bearing via threaded hole and frequently includes such extras as seals, preventing contaminants from entering the bearing or lubricants to enhance the rotation process.
