The Schneider Electric (Square D) 9037HG33R Float Switch used as a mechanical monitoring system for liquid levels which finds its application in HVAC condensate drain pans. The system operates through a floating mechanism which activates a switch system. When liquid level increases the float moves towards the upper position. The switch gets activated when float moves upward because the water reaches levels beyond the safety threshold due to drain blockages or excessive condensation. The specific model features a 2-1/2" NPT connection while its float position is set at a right angle. The float switch used as a safety feature in HVAC condensate drain pans as well as in some dehumidifiers.
