The Trane COM9636 Compressor is a heavy-duty machine that offers large-capacity cooling for large commercial and industrial applications using R-410A refrigerant. The compressor used in this Trane air conditioning system is not the piston type of compressor but a scroll type. Two scrolls in the sealed housing interlock work like a pump; they compress the refrigerant gas at a relatively low speed of 1750 RPM.
