Trane VAL7463 Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) 3/8X5/8 2.5Ton 36" Cap

The Trane VAL7463 is a Thermal Expansion Valve that is manufactured and designed for Trane air conditioning and refrigeration systems only. This TXV effectively controls the coolant circulation in the system. The TXV monitors the temperature of the coolant as it leaves the coil. Applying pressure to the absorption circuit to regulates the amount of coolant that is allowed to enter the coil. This way, the evaporator coil is prevented from icing, and the entire system’s performance is endangered along with possible damage. This can be used in systems with a 2.5-ton capacity because its inlet size is 5/8 inch, while the capillary tube is 36 inches.
