Trane VAL7466 Expansion Valve 0.38" X 0.50" ODF 1.5Ton R-22

The Trane VAL7466 Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential component of your Trane air conditioning system and not a simple on/off valve like other systems. Depending on the temperature being sensed by the thermal sensor bulb which is connected to the TXV by a long thin capillary tube the refrigerant passing through the evaporator coil is regulated. This means the coil can absorb heat effectively without icing over and causing havoc on your system. Constructed from stainless steel it is compatible with R-22 refrigerant and has a pressure rating of up to 500 PSI. The Trane TXV is usually used in air conditioners of 1.5 tons capacity.
