The Lennox 14W95 Thermal Expansion Valve is an essentialpart of air conditioning systems that use R22 refrigerant. It has an inlet and outlet size of 3/8" x 1/2" and serves as an expansion device controlling accurately the flow of coolant that gets into the evaporator coil. This close control enhances cooling efficiency as it also avoids flooding the evaporator coil with coolantt. This TXV operates based on the variations in pressure and temperature of the cooolant. That way, it manages to stop the liquid coolant from the evaporator coil and hence restrict it from soaking up heat from the entering air.
