The Lennox 18M90 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a control element that is intended for Lennox air conditioners with a cooling capacity of 1.5 tons. The particular importance to system efficiency and cooling performance, this valve is made of sturdy materials. The TXV measures the temperature of the gas in the evaporator coil with the help of a capillary tube. On this basis, it controls the amount of refrigerant entering the coil through the 3/8-Inch diameter inlet according to this temperature. It has a 1/2-Inch ODF connection which makes it easy to install within suitable refrigerant lines.
