The Trane VAL7345 is a Thermal Expansion Valve which is specially suited for the HVAC systems that are using R-410A refrigerant. It is critical to maintaining the degree of system efficiency because it regulates the refrigerant circulation. In other words, the TXV works to temperature changes in the evaporator coil just like an automatic faucet. As the coil gets cooler more refrigerant can flow through the TXV and absorb heat from the surrounding air. On the other hand, the TXV restricts the amount of refrigerant flow as the coil temperature increases avoiding overcooling of the system.
