The Trane VAL3615 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is one of the critical components of your Trane air conditioning system. Compared to simple on/off valves the TXV has a significant function in cooling. The TXV is maintained by a thermal sensor bulb that is connected through a long and thin capillary tube causing of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil to change according to the temperature. This has sweat connections to facilitate installation and a non-bleed valve to ensure exact control of the refrigerant. This is made from stainless steel, compatible for R-22 refrigerant and has a pressure rating of up to 500 PSI. The Trane VAL3615 TXV is most often used in air conditioners with a cooling capacity of 1.5 tons.
