The Fenwal 35-605600-003 Direct Spark Ignition Control Module is a microprocessor-based ignition part for use in gas-fired HVAC system appliances, with 24 VAC output voltage. This control module uses complex technology to guarantee correct ignition sequences with a TFI of 7 seconds. When it receives a heat demand, it goes through a self-test, then pre-purge to ensure that there is no gas remaining before it ignites. During the TFI if the flame is detected the gas valve remains open, otherwise the system goes into lockout after one attempt to operate to avoid any leakage of gas.
