Carrier 331709-753 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Valve R22 5-Ton

The Carrier 331709-753 is a 5-ton thermal expansion valve for use with R-22 refrigerant for commercial HVAC applications. This bimetal valve controls the amount of refrigerant that passes through it by acting on changes in temperature of the evaporator coil. When the coil temperature is low, the TXV opens to admit more refrigerant to provide the better cooling. On the other hand, an increasing temperature triggers the valve to limit flow to prevent icing of the evaporator coil. They afford accurate control of the system and against failure resulting from over / under refrigeration.
