The Velocity Boiler Works (Crown) 240012 Sensor NTC – AH is a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) sensor that is used in controlling the water temperature of boilers. This sensor uses a thermistor and this is a resistor whose characteristic resistance value is dependent on temperature. When the boiler water is heated, the resistance of the NTC sensor reduces its value. This change in resistance is then measured by the boiler control which controls other functions in the boiler including the flow of fuel or pump operations to achieve the control logic, water temperature.
