COM11571
The Trane COM11571 Compressor has been eliminating problems as a durable air conditioning compressor. A strong, independent, and closed (hermetic) vessel made of cast iron. This Trane compressor uses a scroll rather than a piston as used in most other conventional compressor systems. Inside the sealed housing, the two scrolls mesh with each other to pump down the refrigerant gas to high pressure at moderate speed. This design is equivalent to a 5.1-ton capacity (67,000 BTUH) that can handle heavy cooling loads even in low temperatures of 45°F. Brazed stub tubes (discharge size ½”) are secure and do not leak for the circulation of refrigerants.
