The Conbraco Industries 19-KHGA-15 is a 1.5-inch by 2-inch safety relief valve rated at 15 pounds per square inch   and intended primarily for steam applications. By automatically releasing surplus steam when pressure exceeds the 15 psi limit, this valve is essential in safeguarding equipment against overpressure situations. Its 1.5-inch male National Pipe Thread  input and 2-inch female NPT output allow it to be used with a variety of HVAC equipment's standard pipe systems. The valve operates on a spring-loaded mechanism.  The valve opens and releases steam until the system's steam pressure drops below the 15 psi threshold because the spring compresses when this happens. At that point, the valve automatically resets and closes to protect system integrity.
