The Carrier EA02DZ484 is a Thermal Expansion Valve that is installed in HVAC systems with a flow rate of 12 tons. It controls the flow of the refrigerant, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. This valve helps to allow only the required amount of coolant to get to the evaporator coil making the whole system efficient. TXV receives refrigerant in the liquid state and at high pressure. When it expands through the valve, the pressure drop results in the formation of part of the liquid coolant into gas. This inverting process uses heat to create cold, a process that we can relate to air conditioning.
