The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 043323 Bi-Flow Drier 3/8” ODF BFK-083S is a desiccant dryer used to remove moisture in the compressed air network. It works by blowing pre-compressed air across a layer of desiccant material like activated alumina or silica gel. When passing through the desiccant bed, moisture will stick on the surface of the desiccant destroying the moisture content from the air. The Bi-Flow Drier is designed in a two-tower configuration, enabling the system to remain fully functional without any interruption of airflow. This way one tower is supplying dry air while the other is being recharged, making sure that dry air is supplied constantly.
