This Thermal Expansion Valve TXV and offers efficient cooling while preventing the compressor damage in 3-ton capacity systems. The Trane VAL8716 is a brass automatic developed for R410A refrigerant flow capable of sustaining up to 250°F. It measures temperature changes in the evaporator coil through a thermal actuator along an 18” capillary tube. On this basis, the valve accurately determines the volume of the refrigerant introduced into the coil.The features include secured sweat connections with 3/8” inlet, and 1/2” for installation purposes, that optimises the evaporator coil.
