Trane VAL8708 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) 4 Ton R22 3/8" X1/2"

The Trane VAL8708 TXV is a fundamental part of air conditioning systems designed for use with R-22 refrigerant and measures 4.3" in length. It is a essentialvalve for controlling refrigerant flow in 4-ton capacity systems. A thermal actuator responds to temperature variations without the need for external electrical controllers. Refrigerant inside of the evaporator coil absorbs heat as cool air passes over it and its form changes from a liquid to a gas. The built-in temperature sensor in the TXV senses the refrigerant temperature and opens the valve accordingly.
