Trane VAL8705 is a four-and-a-half-inch Thermal Expansion Valve compatible with R-22 refrigerant and for 3-tonning equipment. The refrigerant valve is essentialfor controlling refrigerant flow in air conditioning systems hence should provide proper cooling while offering outstanding comfort. Think of it as an intelligent device that controls the flow of the refrigerant that gets to the evaporator coil. This has a thermal actuator that closes in response to the temperature of the refrigerant. With the rising cooling demand, the microprocessor opens the actuator which allows more refrigerant into the evaporator coil. When cooling demand is achieved, the valve stays open to meter the refrigerant flow to ensure it does not over-feed and gains optimal performance.
