Trane VAL7991 Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) 5/16 x 5/8" 1.5-Ton 36" Capillary Tube

The Trane VAL7991 is the Thermal Expansion Valve which is particularly the 1.5-ton system. It is a bit like an intelligent valve that measures the temperature of the refrigerant that is leaving the evaporator coil. Depending on this temperature, the TXV modulates the amount of coolant that is allowed into the coil. This also keeps the coil well protected from over-refrigeration and guarantees that temperatures in your home are as desired all the time. It can be used for pressure up to 700 PSI and is fitted with a 36” capillary tube for accurate temperature regulation.
