Trane VAL19947 is is a Thermal Expansion Valve designed for application on industrial and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems employing R410A refrigerant. TXVs are commonly known as metering devices; their role is to limit the flow of the refrigerant to the evaporator coil to ensure that it will perform at its better. Due to the precise control of refrigerant amount the TXV better accommodates cooling capacity and system performance. Its pressure rating is up to 700 PSI, so it may be installed in systems of 1.5 – 8 tons. It brazes into refrigerant lines for a secure installation and has a small size and a much of quantity 3/8 inch inlet and output connection.
