Trane VAL10642 Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) R410A H/P 3.5-5.0 Ton

The Trane VAL10642 is a thermal expansion valve developed for Trane heat pump systems that use R410A refrigerants. This critical component, which is approximately 6.3” tall and 3.125” wide, is a critical element in the enhancement of cooling performance. While the pressure based valves, the TXV uses a thermal bulb to control the flow of the refrigerant depending on the temperature. As the evaporator coil cools there is decrease in the volume of the bulb as more liquid refrigerant floods into the coil to perform its heat absorbing function. Due to the capacity range of 3.5 to 5 tons, VAL10642 can be used in different Trane HVAC applications that enhance the systems’ performance and comfort.
