Trane THT2262 Thermistor 20' Duct Mount Averaging Sensor

The Trane THT2262 Thermistor is a 20-foot duct mount averaging sensor for use in HVAC systems. It reads the air temperature inside a duct and averages it over a distance of 20 feet. It measures that resistance and converts it to a temperature measurement. This average sensor is used usually in the ductwork of heating and cooling systems or air handling units. This gives a more realistic overall air temperature inside the duct as opposed to letting the whole duct handle the temperature control across a facility. Assurance of the HVAC system maintaining the appropriate temperature such that there will be no overheating or cooling periods can increase comfort and also increase efficiency.
