The Amana-Goodman 0151M00069 Thermal Expansion is a Valve part of the residential and light commercial refrigeration and the air conditioning. It serves the purpose of a metering part as it regulates to minute detail the level of refrigerant that is permitted to ingress into the evaporator coil. This valve works by the principle of temperature control. A bulb containing a temperature sensitive liquid is connected to the evaporator. While the refrigerant temperature varies, the pressure inside the bulb alters and this causes a diaphragm in the valve.
