The Honeywell T775-SENS-STRAP/U Strap-On Temperature Sensor for HVAC systems as a pipe or surface temperature indicator. This sensor has a resistance of 1097 Ohm and is capable of measuring temperatures from -40°F to 250°F. The strap-on design enables the part to be fitted on pipes without having to cut or weld the pipes. The way it does this is it alters its resistivity depending on temperature changes which the HVAC system controller uses to appropriately vary heating or cooling.
