Trane SWT04236 Thermal Switch

The Trane SWT04236, which is 3.5” long, is a pivotal part of the air conditioning systems that employ thermal expansion valves (TXVs). This thermal switch has only two operations, either is on or off, based on set temperature thresholds. When the refrigerant temperature around the switch gets higher than 205°F, the switch gets tripped and the electrical circuit is broken. This in turn, turns off the TXV, reducing or stopping the supply of the refrigerant into the evaporator coil. The thermal switch ensures the operation of the TXV at the right temperatures and enhances the cooling efficiency thus protecting your air conditioning system from damage.
