The Johnson Controls A19PRC-1 is an SPDT thermostat that is built with heavy-duty to operate in extreme conditions of temperature. Its UL-listed, NEMA 4X-rated plastic housing protects it from dust, water, corrosion and shock, and is suitable for use in industrial buildings, greenhouses or pool areas. The one that operates by employing a coiled capillary that contains liquid and which expands or shrinks depending on the temperature. The liquid-filled bulb in this circuit measures the surrounding temperature and send signals to the SPDT switch. When set the desired temperature using a knob and this switch turns on or off heating or cooling equipment depending on the temperature range set.
