Trane SEN2129 Liquid Level Sensor 90mm W/Gasket

The Trane SEN2129 is an essential safety tool for HVAC and refrigeration systems that contain liquid line refrigerants. This 90mm sensor together with the sealing gasket serves as a liquid level indicator. Located on top of refrigerant lines it employs a float switch type. As the liquid refrigerant rises to a certain level within the sensor, the float pulls a switch which interrupts the circuit. This stoppage signal is to let the system know there is a problem, for instance, a low refrigerant charge or a faulty part. Through stopping operation, this protects the system from compressor damage resulting from lack of lubrication or overheating resulting from excessive refrigerant.
