Trane SEN1541 Coil Sensor 75°F 9.75 Ohm

The Trane SEN1541 is a coil sensor that is meant to be used with Trane HVAC systems only. It is of a size of 6.1’’L x 3.5’’W x 1.8’’H and has an AMP 640250-2 receptacle connector to facilitate connection. The main work of the SEN1541 is reflected in its name – to sense the temperature of the evaporator coil, which is a component in the refrigeration process. The sensor has a resistance of 9.7 ohms at reference temperature of 75°F or 24°C and this enables the Trane system to control cooling functions well. Thus, the SEN1541 controls the temperature of the coil to prevent the system from overcooling the coil, which is inefficient and may result in ice formation. In other words, it works as a protector and ensures that your Trane HVAC system stays on course and provides cool comfort to all the rooms in your house.
