The Trane KIT8087 Pressure Control Kit is crucial in ensuring that is your HVAC system runs smoothly and safely. It serves a pressure guard, protecting the refrigerant within your air conditioning or heat pump, from building up or depleting. The kit also consists of two pressure switches, a high-pressure switch and a low-pressure switch. A high pressure switch turns off the compressor if the refrigerant pressure rises at any time over 450psi in order to protect the equipment. On the other hand the low-pressure switch works at 150psi which ensures the system is safe from malfunctions that arise due to lack of better pressure resulting from low refrigerant charge.
