The Trane MOT9230 is a highly functional and highly efficient Electronically Commutated Motor module to fit a variety of HVAC applications. This product has a 1/2 horsepower motor and an electronic control module that is housed in a single unit that is 10.68” long by 6.68” high. This design makes installation easier and also minimizes the wiring issue. The ECM technology has several advantages over the conventional PSC motors. Unlike PSC motors that have a constant operation speed, the Trane MOT9230 comes with an ability to vary its speed depending on the demand in the system. This variable speed operation results in lower noise levels, increased efficiency and less energy use.
