The Trane MOT18914 is a single phase fractional HP electric motor which finds application in several HVAC related products. In layman’s terms, its an electric motor designed for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications. This part of the HVAC unit employs electrical energy and converts it to mechanical energy to turn a shaft, at a certain revolutions per minute (RPM) to move several parts within the system. Some examples of typical usage are blower, fan, damper and condensate pump. Due to its small size and relatively low mass, this can be easily installed in confined spaces of HVAC systems, which increases its usability.
