The Trane MOT13120 is a 1-horsepower constant torque motor, a staple of Trane HVAC systems. Whereas Variable frequency drives control the amount of power required by varying the motor speed, on the other hand constant torque motors supply a fixed amount of power in the electric supply. It uses a normal 208-230V single phase 60 Hz source and it rotates at 1050 RPM. Its mounting is strong to absorb vibration and noise for better performance during operation. The NEMA vented enclosure enables free flow of air over the motor to avoid heat build up.
