Trane KIT18043 Flow Switch Kit

The Trane KIT18043 is a flow switch kit, safety device used in Trane HVAC systems, with a flow switch function. It has an essentialfunction of protecting the system against possible harm through its check of water circulation. A flow switch is in fact a pressure switch with a paddle or a flapper mechanism placed directly in the water piping. If the water passing through the pipe provide sufficient flow, the paddle shifts and keeps the switch contacts open. This enables HVAC system to run its normal course. If the water flow goes low, for example due to valve or pump failure, the pressure of the paddle reduces, and the contacts set off.
