The BASO Gas Products K15FA-36 is a 36-inch thermocouple, a safety device crucial for gas-fired HVAC systems. It works by converting heat from the pilot light into a small voltage (20-28 millivolts). This voltage signal acts like a safety switch for the gas control valve. As long as the pilot light is burning and heating the thermocouple, the voltage keeps the valve open, allowing gas flow for combustion.
