The Amana-Goodman 0130F00008S Ignitor is an essential part of HVAC systems gas furnaces and boilers. When the exchanger is first turned on, it drives an electric spark into the gas burner that ignites the burner gas to start the combustion process heating the exchanger. Its ignitor works by producing a high-voltage spark. The ignitor fires when the furnace or boiler's thermostat calls for heat and sparks ignite the gas-air mixture in the burner.
