Carrier HT31AR200 6" Insert Heater 200W 3/8" DIA 120V

The Carrier HT31AR200 Insert heater is a 200 watt, 120 volt heater designed for crankcase applications in HVAC equipment, a small electric heating element. It normally functions to maintain a prescribed temperature in the crankcase which is typically at the bottom of the compressor unit. When it’s cold, increasing oil viscosity can make starting the rock hard in the crankcase. To counteract this, the Carrier provides low level heat, to keep the compressor running smoothly, and to avoid cold start problems. This insert heater is a compact unit measuring 4.8" long, 6.6" wide and 0.3" high. The 3/8-" diameter design makes for easy installation into compatible crankcases.
