Lennox X4138 15" HEPA Carbon Pre-Filter

The Lennox X4138 Hepa Carbon Pre-Filter is an initial-stage filter usually applied in Lennox HEPA-40 and HEPA-60 air conditioning systems. It is designed to trap comparatively bigger particles consistant of dust, lint, pet dander before reaching the chief HEPA filter hence increasing on the life of the HEPA filter. The pre-filter employs a MERV-6-rated filter media to capture these bigger particles since the main filter media targets particles in the range of 0.3-1 µm. Unlike higher MERV filters that they are not as efficient in trapping airborne allergens, it contributes as a MERV 1 dust and fiber filter in reducing various sizes of airborne particulates.
