Trane EXC2043 Heat Exchanger W/3-Coil Assembly

The Trane EXC2043 is an integral component of split system air conditioners and heat pumps, acting as a heat exchanger with three coils. Using heat exchangers one fluid gains heat while the other loses heat and in an HVAC system means transfer of heat from outside air and air inside a building. This is achieved in the EXC2043 in that it possesses refrigerant coils that expand and contract with respect to the system’s cooling or heating cycle. For instance, during cooling operation, the indoor coil takes heat from your home’s air and cools it. At the same time, the outdoor coil is used to release this accumulated heat to the surrounding environment. The absence of three coils raises the probability of the existence of other two coils possibly extending as a dehumidifier or a few other facilities of the compatible Trane model.
