The Regal Rexnord Marathon G921A is a one-horsepower, three-phase electric motor intended for industrial and commercial use. It is equipped with a wide voltage range of operation  208–230 volts to 460 volts  and can rotate at 1725 revolutions per minute. This motor is frequently used in HVAC devices such pumps, compressors, and air conditioners. The motor is powered by the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy by means of a magnetic field and electrical current.  The rotor spins because of the revolving magnetic field produced by the motor's internal parts, which also include the stator and rotor.
